Survival Craft and Rescue
Boats (SCRB)
Course Description:
The Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats (PSCRB) is to provide the training for delegates, assigned as being coxswain on board ships, to launch and take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat in emergency situations in accordance with Section VI/2 of the STCW Code 1978, as amended.
Course Modules:

Take charge or a survival craft engine

Operate a survival craft engine.

Manage survivors and craft after abandoning ship.

Use locating devices, including communications and signalling apparatus and pyrotechnics.

​Apply first Aid survivors.
Course Duration:
Full Course: 3 Days
Entry Requirements:
For the Refresher course, must have previous STCW Survival Craft & 2 Days Rescue Boats certificate whether Refresher still valid or recently expired.
Refresher Course: 2 Days
Basic training certificate (STCW)
Valid medical fitness certificate
